17K on my Toyo Proxes 4 - Need a New Set

I have a set of Toyo Proxes 4 245/40/18 A-SPEC suspension. I also have an audio system in the back, which adds about 100-150 pounds to the rear of the car. I have about 17K on my tires and will be due for a new set at around 20-21K. I rotate my tires during every oil change.

Does anyone think this is a bit premature for my tires to wear out so quickly? By the way for those wondering about how Proxes hold up over the long term. They are a bit noisy. But, they're not unbearable. Then again, I do have Dynamat all over my car. So, they might be louder under different circumstances.

The car still handles well. I'm debating whether I should go with another set of Proxes, or whether I should look at another tire altogether. I really like the Proxes. But, I feel like I should have gotten more out of them. Suggestions are appreciated.

I don't think 20,000 miles out of a set of those is horribly low. A lot of it depends on how you drive.

I use and recommend the Toyo T1R's; their traction is absolutely excellent (you won't get them to squeel/chirp unless you're really trying to gun it/abuse the clutch); I got about 25,000 miles out of them, but it's hard to say how they would last if I only had used them with the TL; I had put 15,000 miles on them on a V6-auto Accord, but I do have to say the TL seemed to run the tread down faster, though that could be because of how I drive.

I wish I could let you know if 20k is good for those tires. I had them on my civic and 6 months after I installed them the car was stolen! Oh well, I drive a TL now so I guess things worked out. I did like the tires though, I'd buy them again.
