Trial and error, man. You can't go crazy low with Teins, so even if you drop them all the way down you'd be okay. Maybe someone else will chime in with some measurements, but it's all about personal preference.

No joke....and when you have coilovers, you'll notice if one corner is a millimeter higher or lower than the other side. Or maybe that's just my OCD.

TEIN gives you a good starting point. You can always work from that.

related to the topic and getting the right height, i'm just curious how do you adjust them? do you have to take out the back seats everytime? is it a pain to access them for adjustments?

You only have to take the back seat out to adjust the rear damping, not the height. The damping is adjusted from the top, the ride height is adjusted from the wheel wells.

Some people count tge threads on the coils to measure them even. Ill use a caliperr, i dropped my friends suby with coils got then within .001. I do machining so i know i measured them really good. One last question do i nedd to get anything besides what comes with the coils? They should be in today and i want to get it done tobight without running to get something.

Finished my car last night with only two things going wrong. Stuoud lugnut stud snapped and stripped. The bolt on rear coil at the bottom. With that just need to replace the bracket and bolt, and my bro can replace the atud he snapped. But to get to the point, the car is slammed :-). i gpt 3 threads showing upp front and 3.5 showing in the back. 10 clicks from stidd in front and 11 clicks in the back. No rubbing and seems to drive really smooth. Im still rockibg stock tls rims with 245/45 tires by the way

any pics? i run the same tire set up as you (assuming you don't have spacers) and i'm curious to see how low you are without rolling fenders (don't even want to mess with that)

A heat gun is a must when you're rolling your fenders in order to prevent the paint from cracking.

Didn't want to start another thread so I figured I'd ask here..

Tein Street Advance vs BC Racing BR

In terms of quality which one would you say is better?

Same spring rates.. The BC can offer custom spring rates.. Has top hats. Any reason I would get the TEIN over the BC?

^^^IMHO, if your only lowering 1-2" the advance works great. If you want to go lower, go with a full bodied coilover like BC.

I bought the advances and thier nice for sure, but I want to be lower and not ride on the bumpstops and have to run super stiff with the dampening.

Im currently looking to replace my teins and BC comes up in every circle of people I bring this topic up in.

I won't be lowering it too much. Handling is still a concern for me. Won't be slamming the car. I'm more concerned about damper and spring quality and overall build and finish. I'm familiar with both of these companies in the rsx world and both of them aren't that great in terms of damper quality. I was just wondering what TL owners prefer.

Thanks for the pics. Any Chance you can get a full side shot of the car showing both front and rear wheels? Curious how it looks from the side

If you want a coilover design similar to BC you should really consider our XLR8 ISC coilovers. They have a 1 year warranty, your choice of spring rates, and are able to be serviced here in the US. It also has a fully thread shock body and 32 damping adjustments.

Follow EATS' part list and you'll be good. About $120 and you can have all new suspension.
