07 TL add Type S wheels $600 + swap?
OK I have a 07 TL that is 5 weeks old, I added the Type-S tails and really liek the Type S wheels. I was at the dealer and the parts manager mentioedn they have a set of new Type-s wheels that came off a car that got a 18" upgrade. He is willing to swap my wheels for those for $600. New Type-S wheels list for $282 each so I figure this saves me the hassle of trying to unload my old wheels and gets me the Type-S wheels. What do you think?

I agree, $600 sounds too high. This is only about 1/2 off list, plus you are giving up your current wheels. I would think you could haggle lower, or purchase elsewhere. I don't think the Type S wheels are that "hot" an option, so he should be trying to unload them.

is he giving you new tires as well or just the rims? even if it was just the rims, i think $600 is fair if you really like them. bottom line- it's your money spend it how you want.

I'd check around in the black market and see if anyone is trying to unload their oem rims. A lot of people complain about not liking them so maybe you'll have some luck.
quick search in the BM turned these up... https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...t=tl+type+rims
They're currently going for $800 plus shipping; maybe you could sell your's privately or work something out. Good luck

Acura missed the boat completely on Type S wheels
I think the OE wheels on the Type s are ugly at best. If I was stuck with them I'd replace with chrome or brushed aluminum maybe 5 spoke and resembling original wheels on the standard TL. I traded my OE wheels on my 06 for chrome at Paramount Wheels in CA for about $125 each. They look great. Best deal I could find on the internet or eBay.
