'06 TL with Brembo Brake Pads and Rotors

I'm looking to replace my worn out brake pads and rotors on my TL with front Brembos. Im not looking for anything performance orientated, just something low cost for my daily driver. I stumbled across this set on Ebay:

Front Rear Drilled Slotted Brake Rotors and Ceramic Pads Acura TL M T Brembo | eBay

Does any have any thoughts/experience with these?

I am not sure about these. They seem a little cheap to me and because of that, there's a good chance they will warp and be garbage in a year esp. if you live in a climate with rough winters and salt. Might want to spend a little more. Brakes and tires are 2 things you don't want to cheap out on.

Thanks for the reply. I do live in PA where winters can get rough. Something more like this Power Stop package from Rock Auto? The daily driver kit?

^actually, the ebay link is to the brand name "Brakemotive"

Brakemotive was once a sponsor/vendor here on acurazine and offered great deals on their brake packages.

however, some people received faulty rotors.

Too be honest, autozone brake pads and rotors are great!!!
and this is the route I will go from now on, autozone...

fuck paying a high price for literally the same thing at autozone

I bought two set rotors and padfrom Brakesmotive for my Accord and TL back in 2012 both of them which still on the cars now and yet no crack or any problems. I would go with centric/ stoptech slotted for the next set.

after a bit of research, i just bought a set of stoptech slotted rotors, akebono ceramic pads, and xlr8 ss brake lines, i'll probably install them this weekend. definitely go stoptech for rotors, they are reliable and well priced

Stoptech rotor isn't defect free, I will take a pic and load on here, buying a centric high carbon cryo treated rotor and now see a big ass pit (casting defect) show up on the rotor surface.

most mass prouduced items never come out perfect!

I use racingbrake, each rotor is made and verified here in the USA. I've put over 140K on my 3G TL rotors and around 90K on my MDX's rotors and they have been working without a complaint!

Came across this thread to gain the same needed info from the OP. Besides going with brembo blanks for rotors - Stoptech is a good set to use? I know ive seen Brakemotive mentioned but I feel like ive heard people having issues with warping and I'm trying to not have to go back to replace things in 8-10 months.

Got them from carpartskings on eBay. They had the best price with shipping and the rotors were drop shipped from Stoptech/centric directly so I got them 1-2 days later.

Any issues with squealing? Any cons with the set-up vs the OEM Brembo set-up?

i haven't installed them yet. i did a ton of research and those akebono pads should have no squeaking.

there are years and years of good reviews about stoptech, they won't squeak if installed right and bedded right.

i've had stoptech pads on my front rotors for 3 years and no squealing, no performance issues. they dust a little less than the oem brembo pads, but too much dust for me. i'm moving to akebono high performance pads which have almost no dust and still perform very well
