Here is a thread with some pics in it.

My personal opinion for people with darker cars is to leave the stock rims alone. They are a nice color to begin with and having a darker color car with lighter rims makes for a nice contrast.

Too much contrast on NBP. Gotta have chrome if you're going that bright on that dark a car.

I did mine with duplicolor graphite.

Not sure if they'd look good on your car though. AM would be really close to the same color. I'd probably do black if I were to do it, but I'm not a sure fan of black wheels.

That looks good !! I love the gold front calipers! I'm afraid that if I do black it will ruin the value of the car and it blend too much. I've always had black wheels in the past so maybe it's time for something different.

I hate chrome tho lol

I've got a NBP '08 TL, and since mounting my snow tires on black steel rims I like the look so much that now I'm thinking of painting my stock Acura rims much like those shown above. You say you used Duplicolor Graphite - did you spray paint them? And how did you paint around the Acura logo in the center?

Yah, rattle can.

Get some fine sanding sponge and prep the wheel wipe down with acetone, stick index card between the tire and rim to mask the wheel. spray in light coats. Clear coat after. Not hard, just takes awhile. Expect to spend a full day doing a set with all the prep.

The caps I did the same thing, I just used some silver model paint to paint in the logo by hand. (If you thin your paint pretty liquid you can put in big drops and it flows around the logo.) Wait to cure, wipe up extra and then clear.

The logos really make the wheel though. I've seen some repaints with mismatched caps, or unpainted logos and its blah. The type S graphite caps *may* fit as well. Not sure about that those.

That's like the perfect stance! U have any issues with rubbing or scraping bumps and stuff like that? Ride quality still pretty good? What type of shocks do u have?

Black is easy, it's common. Go Gunmetal.

I have koni yellows with the front set on the lower perch. The springs are the type S HR sports (Is a 6mt, auto may sit slightly lower and want to go with the normal TL springs) Ride is great. A bit firmer than stock, but far from harsh. No rubbing. Going over speed bumps and in.out of driveways you have to be more careful but nothing excessive. I rub the plastic air dam every once in awhile if I'm a bit too enthusiastic going into a driveway. (not the lip, but the molded black plastic dam underneath the car.) All in all its a lot like my Corvette was in terms of ride and worry about worry about speed bumps and the like. Low, but not a street sweeper.

Edit- That pic is pre-konis btw. The rear stayed the same, but the front gap is smaller now (-20mm)

Paint them gunmetal. Stock wheels painted black just look dirty and cheap.
