Zombie TL - Dead, then alive as if nothing happened

My 2005 TL has done the strangest thing twice (once after work, once in the morning, both times after not being driven for a while 8+ hours). I am able to unlock the doors using the fob and get in, but then nothing works... car won't start (no clicking), no lights, no radio, trunk button won't work, door lock/unlock button won't work... just totally dead. There are no indicator lights on whatsoever. Then, as I'm about to quit trying random things (pushing buttons on the fob, trying to start, etc.) and call a tow truck (maybe after 15 minutes), it suddenly comes to life again as if nothing happened, except that I need to reenter the XMRadio code and the trip odometers are reset to zero.

Any thoughts on what could be causing this? Could it be related to the alarm?

did you check your battery terminal connection to see if it loose or being corroded? its seem like you momentarily lost connection to the ground.

I would replace the whole positive terminal. Mine had corrosion at least a few inches from the terminal, under the insulation. I had to cut back the insulation install a new terminal that was so worn, it wouldn't tighten down on the battery.
Next time I have trouble with it, I'm replacing the whole cable.
