Yet another A/C Drain/PCM/Water Victim..!
Count me as yet another PCM/AC Drain Tube/Coil Pack...etc.. victim. I have a 2006 TL w/93,600 Miles on it. Never had even close, to a serious problem with the car before...at least till last night.
You guy's know the drill, there's enough threads on the subject - most of which I've managed to read though over the last few hours.
All of a sudden car starts to run rough, engine light comes on. Have it towed via flatbed to Acura. Call me later in the day...possible replacement of PCM, Wiring Harness, Coil Pack, etc...
This is an obvious design flaw. A/C Drain Tube blockage should not lead to water exposure of the PCM...and then cause additional electrical components to fail..leading to an expensive repair bill.
What is Acura's current stance on this issue/problem...what happens to those who have exceeded the warranty period?
Any thoughts on this subject would be very helpful.
Thanks,
-mike-

However many of the people who have encountered this problem and have posted here...did so 2 to 4 years ago.
Also given that this is a potentially very expensive, time consuming, and IMO Acura design flaw... I'd like to get the very latest information and updates anyone might have from Acura.
Not to mention the thought at 3AM in the morning of spending $2-3K+ on PCM,Wiring Harness, Coil Pack(s), etc...for a problem many have encountered to no fault of their own.
All this might have played a part in deciding to break my own rules about creating a new thread on this topic.
Hope you understand..
