Thumbs down Yes. My Clutch is going....HELP

Well i was in denial....how could a stock acura clutch not be able to handle over 300 hp....Hhahahahah. 2 years, 40k miles of supercharged fun is finally taking its toll on the clutch. So i cancelled my j-pipe order for now, and plan on doing a clutch job.

Started slipping when i pushed it hard between 2nd and 3rd now and 4th and
5th. Yet i dont smell anything.....Its gotta be the clutch. Many have told me the stock clutch cant handle more than the 270 hp it was made for...

Now any recommendations? I want to also replace the flywheel with a lighter one, and i definately want a clutch that will last more than 40 thousand fking miles too.

Probably just the PP lost pressure so under heavy usage the disc isn't clamped tightly against the flywheel and so it slips.

Make certain you are familiar with the drivability with a lightweight flywheel before doing the install. No HP gains, but the engine will rev faster as the flywheel has less rotational mass. Adding a lightweight flywheel is similar to removing 200 lbs from the car when you're in the lower gear.

there are some special trick Honda tools needed to install the new pressure plate- and acura gets about $2200-$2500!!! for the entire job

Parts are not cheap, and its involved getting it put together right the first time
The TL clutch with its special internal adjusters- will feel good right down to the last shift it will make~ Pay attention to slippage on hard throttle

Consider a lightweight crankshaft pulley as an alternative to the whole flywheel

And i also found a stage 2 clutch kit for 500 bux...im thinkin scenario 2. I bet ive got 10k more miles on it, i just need to drive it easier. So far the slippage only happens at 60+ mph at WOT
