I recently replaced the OEM screen in my 2006 Acura TL Base (6MT) with an aftermarket unit that supports CarPlay and Android Auto. While removing the original radio/climate control display, I had to cut two wires because I couldn't get the screen out otherwise. These wires were connected to the back of the original display, but the new unit has no place to plug them in, so I left them disconnected.
Now, after the install, I noticed that the clock keeps resetting to 1:00 every time I drive, and sometimes it lights up blue with no numbers showing. I'm wondering if this issue is related to those two wires I cut.
I've attached pictures of the wires in question. Does anyone know what these wires are for? Could they be causing the clock/display issue? And is there any known fix for this?
