My 2004 TL with about 40k miles experienced it's first real problem when the wipers stopped working entirely the other day. The dealer took 2 days to figure out the problem (apparently, a number of codes came up) and they finally replaced both the motor and display unit.

 

I have seen this in another post as well (https://acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=118028) They guy had a buch of whining about his car but one of the more legit complaints was how his wipers "...stop working without prior warning"

Of the things you can live without for a while, wipers are not one of them
