Windshield Issue

I was wondering if anyone can confirm whether or not a 05 TL windshield will fit my 07 TL Type S. I am looking for a windshield without the tint strip at the top of it. I am a First Responder for my town, and the red/white led's in my car by the headliner have a blue tint to them. I was told by a Safelight guy that he could get the 05 windshield without it. Thanks.

From what I can see from the part numbers, the '04-'05 is the same, and the '06, '07, and '05 the same.
I wouldn't install a Safelite windshield, poor quality IMHO.
Can't you rig something up that you can remove and install when needed at a lower area?

the windshields are the same for the years for the most part, on the 04-06 HONDA was written on the glass, 07+ ACURA is written.

The OEM windshield is very stong in the sense that it is part of the integrity of the car. It helps the car from flexing during extra spirited driving, and some aftermarket ones do not account for this and are weaker. Beware that it may crack if too much stress is imposed upon it. Also beware that road noise may be increased since the TL has a gas filled windshield to help reduce noise.

gas filled windshield???

"Acoustically tuned glass windshield Since its 2004 introduction, the TL's windshield has been made of 4.7 mm thick acoustic glass, which consists of two layers of safety glass, separated by a thin acoustic resin center. Representing the first time that acoustic glass with a shade band had been applied to a luxury vehicle in North America, the windshield reduces road noise on smooth asphalt significantly in higher frequency ranges."
