my windows are doin gthe same thing and its due to the vacum that is formed when the window is down, any debris (dirt) will get inside and cause the tint to get scratched.

the fix:
Apply moleskin to the weather-strips on the inside, any good shop sould know about this issue.

Mine does the same thing . Where can I get the moleskin? Is this something I should bring up to the dealer? I know they can't do anything about the tint, but how about what caused the scratches?

this is happenin to my untinted windows. There is a verticle strip of scratches on my driver side window, and a horizontal strip on the passenger side window. Eventually I'm going to go see if the dealer can fix it.

this also has happened to my 06 TL with 6k miles on it, dealer tinted the windows so it was covered under their warranty. This is a known issue on the TL's. If you do a search alot of info will come up.

When it happened on mine, i brought it to the dealership and they replaced all 4 windows with new tint and said that this is a better tint and will not scratch like the 1st set they put on. 3-400 miles later and no new scratches have shown up. So far so good.

I too had this exact same problem and my car only has 1800 miles on it. When I took it to the dealership to have some other odd and end work done on it, I had told them about that problem and they ended up shaving something in the window down so that it would help eliminate that from happening and so far knock on wood its helped increadabliy alot.

uh oh ... from what i heard certain tint stores just cut or shave the weatherblade so that it doesn't scratch the tint ... supposedly what they "shaved" on yours too; HOWEVER, i heard that with this alteration made, dust and other debris starts to build up within the door panel and can cause other problems in the future? not sure ... I think I read that on another thread somewhere on the forum ... best solution would be to apply the moleskin imo
