window frame? molding?

Messed up weekend... A stupid a** friend was desperate in need of money and decided to go try to steal my valentine 1. In doing so, he attemped to pry my driver door open with a hammer or some sh*t. Now i have dents around my door frame.. and the black frames or molding around my window are effed up. Eventually he smashed the window and took my ipod and the radar. Even went through the trouble of taking out my hardwire cord. WTF?!!!!?? PLUS.. he even took my radiator cap..

This happened in broad daylight in the morning. I was not home but witnessed the whole thing on my home's surveillance cameras. He even admitted to someone else he did it, and said he gave back the stuff he took. I still see no radar. No worries, he has whats coming to him and ill make sure of that. No one can be any dumber.., this is pretty low considering the sh*t ive done for him.

What i need to know is what the black window frame or molding is exactly called. I want to order it online or maybe from the dealership if pricing is right. How much does it cost? THANKS

Go to Benardi, you can find the parts there with the schematics. Have your VIN.

it's one of the pieces in here. This is for a 2005. Look up "molding" for your year.

your best bet is to call insurance and have them handle all of this stuff for you rather than trying to get your friend off the hook, and pay yourself for all this work. You do realize all the work in replacing this trim, right? What if the underlying metal or components are bent or damaged? What if the door lock is damaged from him prying on it? What if the door itself got bent?

I think it's time to think for your own self and not for your friend. You worked hard for this car, not your friend. Why should your friend get a free walk and you foot the bill for his stupidity.
