Will a bad mount cause this?

Question Will a bad mount cause this?

Hello: Do you think a bad engine mount will cause the 4 to 3 downshift to more pronounced? I only ask because it does not feel bad; but I can certainly feel the power train move during this downshift. I can feel the other downshifts hardly at all.

Already done switches and racing atf change. Switches done less than 500 miles ago along with a 1x3.

I do believe I need at least one mount replaced regardless.

Any thoughts?

Anyone? I know many people have had their mounts replaced...it is something I haven't had to do in the past.

The 3g TL has a a few mounts, motor, tranny and front subframe. All are important. What ever mount is broken, you should replace. My car had a rough ride, it had the upper right side mount shot and the subframe mounts all shot. I replaced them and the car was a totally different car. The ride is superb and no noises to complain about. I don't know if it will affect the 2nd to 3rd gear shift as you say.

Can you elaborate on what your presenting symptoms were? Clunks, Rattles, Bouncing, Unsteady cornering or etc? Much appreciated.

OP in short a broken/solid mount will make the shifts more pronounced....

i know what mount it is that cause your tranny to shift harsh, its your upper tranny mount, check underneath the battery tray. GL

Hey guys so would my upper tranny mount cause down shifting to feel funny ??? or when my car is shifting gears or going up on rpms the car shakes all around...my take off feels horrible like it hesitates to get speed. Info please guys thanks.

ricky pounds....what do you mean by subframe mounts?....would you have a pic of what ur talking about. i never heard about the subframe mounts or bolts
