Wierd Noise
Hey all - so I have been noticing over the past week or so a strange vibration or knocking noise comming from the front driverside of the engine. This noise ONLY occure when: the car is in Drive and the brake is fully depressed. ie: when stoped at a stop light idling.
Anyone have this issue? I was thinling it might be the CAI rubbing against something but the sound is not present when the car is in nutural, only when in drive.
The rest of the time the car works great and I have noticed absolutly no preformance issues associated with this sound. wierd eh.
Anyways thanks for any input...

Safety Car
I would go with your hunch. The engine is under a load while "in gear" versus while in nuetral. So, the engine would be slightly torqued (twisted) while in drive. This could be enough to cause the CAI tube to be pushed close to the car body to lightly vibrate against the body. WITH THE ENGINE *OFF*, examine the CAI tube as it snakes thru the body. If the tube has less than approx 1/4 inch clearance anywhere along it's length, this might be your problem. If so, then *CAREFULLY* examine this tight area while *SOMEONE* else is inside the car applying the brake while the engine is running.
