Wierd "clunk" from rear...

Ok, so i've been having this wierd problem with my car a little over a week. It seems that when I hit the gas from a dead stop (stop sign, red light) theres this sudden "clunk" coming from the rear. I upgraded my RSB and i'm running Tein SS so I doubt the dealer will even want to see me I'd rather tackle the problem myself anyways, the dealer always manages to make situations worse. Any ideas where I should start? I emptied out everything in my trunk and theres nothing in my car...

take out the rear seat and make sure the damper scews are nice and tight. As well, tighten the bolts on the bushings of the swaybars. I owuld also check the teins to see if the spring is seated properly.

I'll look through all of that, thanks guys! I'm guessing by properly seated you mean even all around the base of it right?

any other suggestions?

yes, as well, i remeber mr. heel toe saying something about rubber pads that were on the springs and how they should be kept on to avoid clunking. The thread was a bit back in the tires, wheels area.

Ok cool, i'll look into that. I'll double check the RSB as well. I remember hearing about clunking w/ the RSB a REALLY long time ago..hopefully its something as simple as tightening the bolts

Wow thats a long thread! The thing is, the noise ONLY happens when going from a dead stop. Not going over bumps or anything..

Check the rubber brackets on your RSB. Mine had gotten stuck onto the bar and would cause a clunk like you're describing. I replaced them with some others mentioned on this forum and the clunk hasn't returned.
