What's wrong with my brakes?

I have oem pads that are 3 months old, nearly new oem rotors, and oem brembo brake grease on the pads. Sometimes randomly I get brake squeal under light braking, and only light braking. It's very random sometimes hot weather sometimes not.

Most times I find that under light brake pressure, the pads move ever so slightly within the caliper and cause the noise when rubbing on the caliper/piston. Under heavy brake pressure, the additional pressure holds the pads in place and no noise. Put some anti-squeal solution on the back, let it set up, reinstall and give it a try.

I get that on light braking as well. Nothing wrong with your system, just as turbonut explained. Grease that shit up when you install the pads!

you may need some more anti-squeal compound on your shims/pads!

I'm with csmeance. I had this issue with my 04TL and believe there was a TSB to address it.

thx guys, i thought something was wrong since all my parts are OEM so i was like "why are oem parts squealing?!"

so just wanted to confirm, we are supposed to grease the back of the shims, and between the shim and the pad right?
