Hey what's up guys I'm new here just got this Acura about a week ago .The ground wire for the battery is nothing like I've ever seen it's literally from the fender to the battery it's like a inch long wire so somebody has that jacked up so I'm going to make a better one. I don't know what this braided wire is I'm looking at and it's not attached to anything nothing at all I mean if it was it wouldn't be doing much good. I'm thinking that's where I'm going to go with this ground wire I'm just trying to make sure that it is nothing. This is the braided mess. Gonna use this location for ground This is how its grounded now. Not good

How do you expect anyone to have any suggestion as to 'what this braided wire is I'm looking at' if you completely fail to supply the year / model / trim level of the Acura vehicle depicted??
If I had to guess, based on the minuscule information provided, it (the braided wire) possibly could be what is called a Sub-Ground cable.

I thought it would show up in my post.. its a 2005 acura tl 6 speed. It was a really frayed ground strap.. i figured it out.. sorry. I don't think talking to me like im a toddler will get you very far. I respect everyone and talk to people like they are equal to me not less than but thanks i figured it out. I just got the car its in really great condition it just needs a few minor things.. biggest thing it needs is a windshield. Its cracked across the top the entire length.. If you know where i can find one fairly cheap it would be appreciated.

Unless you input the data either somewhere in your initial profile set-up or manually in a post, I don't see how you'd think the forum would automatically populate said data within any initiated conversation?

Otherwise, I can't fathom how you'd interpret my inquiry as talking to you like a toddler, lol.
Even though you figured it out, if you are still interested, here's what I thought the braided strap was below.
