What is wrong with my TL?

i went on a trip for two weeks and its FREEZING out here in NJ with these blizzards and what not. i come home to a dead TL. I get my car out of the snow and jumped. the TL still sounds like it wants to shut off but then the RPMs balance out again. at first when i jumped it the car would run but all the lights VSA, AIRBAGS, E-Brake would be on. i shut the car off and then they went away but the problem is that the button to roll the driver side window down doesnt go Auto. i have to hold it the entire time. but the passenger side does go auto.
whats wrong?!

So is everything else working as normal now, and you're just having a problem with the auto-up/down feature?

Sounds like a combination of a bad battery (which is why the auto-roll-down stopped) and APP sensor going bad (combo error lights).

Check the battery & replace if needed first, then see if the error lights occur again before changing the APP sensor.

Auto roll-down can be reactivated per owner's manual-- just do a full cycle of window-down/window-up while holding the window switch.

How long has it been doing this? I know it sounds weird, but I had to disconnect my battery twice and both times it messed with my window controls. It absolved itself after 48 hours or so, each time, so I ignored it.

First time both front would not go auto. Second time maybe just the passenger's side. Few restarts or something had it all worked out.

Hope it's something the same for you.

Replace your OEM junk battery with something better. If your battery is still under warranty pursue that angle. Nothing wrong with your car just a crappy battery. Hondas shitty batteries show it's true colors in the winter. I use to start my car everyday even if I dint go ne where just so it wouldn't die.

Replace your battery, after ask for a simple system output test to verify the alternator is doing its job. Finally, I'd ask for a system draw test to make sure nothing is hanging up causing a draw which if big enough will cause your battery to go dead. On these TL's the blue tooth unit hangs up and a real simple way of knowing this is while the car is off for an hour or more place your hand on the unit which is located infront of your map lights if it's warm the unit is hanging up.

For your auto feature with the key-on position hold your drivers switch in the up position for 5 seconds. Then hold that that same button in the down position for 5 seconds. (I usually let the window go all the way down then hold it for 5 seconds)

Your welcome.

ive expierenced that same issue after a dead battery with the auto windows. As some have said it seemed to cure it self after a few restarts once the car is charged back up. Hopefully yours will reset itself eventually.
