I just got an Acura Tl 04 for 15g's (used) and it of course didnt come with an owners manual.

and my question is was is the VSA button near the side mirror adjuster?

and what is the switch in the glove box that has a pic of the truck.?

VSA is vehicle stability assist so you don't hit a tree or pole if you skid. The golvebox thing is a lock so the button by the drivers foot for the drunk will be disabled so no one can steal stuff from it.

I was surprised at how well the VSA works. I was racing a friend in his 350Z the other night at 3am with no cars around. I've done plenty of roadracing and autox and I figured even though he was in a superior car I could make up the difference in driving. I entered an offramp a little hot, much faster than the Z and when I lifted throttle the tail came out a bit as expected. I was on and off the gas through the turn to keep the speed up and tail out just a little. Letting off the gas seems to kick the tail out on these FWD cars. I was so happy to have my TL sliding, I backed off the steering a bit to let the tail out some more and then the computer ruined my fun. I felt ABS kick in on one or two wheels and the tail came right back in. It sucked but I feel safer knowing that when the girlfriend drives the car it's going to be there for her. And for what it's worth, put an average/below average driver in a 350 and a slightly above average driver in a TL and the TL will be all over the 350.
