What Are Thse Loose Connectors and Wires Hanging Under Our TL?????
I noticed these wires hanging loose under my 06 TL dash, took to dealer, and told they me it was aftermarket alarm wires, but I've never had after market alarm installed or anything done on this car. Can someone tell me if they have the same wires under dash, and what are they for. Thanks!!

1) Does your car have a Navigation system? If you don't have a Navi, I would suspect that those wires and connectors hook up to a Navi system.
2) How many miles did the car have on it when you bought it? If those aren't connectors for Navi wires, there might have been an aftermarket alarm, LoJack or audio component set up for a previous buyer who backed out of a deal, or a previous owner.

This is the original quote from my invoice.
Cust rep there are some wires hanging down under driver side of dash and they are not connected please check.
"0700 Found wires to a aftermarket antitheft device hanging. pushed the wires back under the dash."
So...how can it be if i never had anyone worked on this car other then the dealer, and this car was brand new off the lot when I bought it an year ago.
So i'm really interested in knowing what these wires are for-_-??

does yours have navi? tomorrow i'll take a look at my 05 navi 6spd and let you know what i find, but that does not look stock at all. The Add a circuit connector is a dead giveaway of something aftermarket in the third and fourth pics, if they sold it to you as new something sounds fishy.

The selling dealer MUST have receipts/internal invoice for everything they do to each car.
Right down to wash/detail and pre-delievery inspection by tech, state inspection stickers-whatever
Thats how they determine the profit margin and sales price.
Its possible someone else made a deal and they installed something as part of it, and the financing doesnt come thru- now they are stuck- so remove accessory and leave wires.
When you find out what the wires do, get that installed!
Take it to a local car alarm-stereo shop and they will know right away- its what they do!

those connectors are 100% aftermarket
acura and any other car manufacturer would never use those blue connectors from the factory
those are cheap tap connectors
have the dealer pull up the car's records from when it was sold to you and check for any mods in the list of things done to the car
time to go to the dealer man

will just not get a acura again.

Well now the question is not what those wires are, but how the heck did the dealer sell this car is new ? I would hit the dealer pretty hard with that question, unless otherwise you got a program car, which is *like* new with a new warranty etc.
If the dealer says its new and you have wires hanging, then i would call ACURA and tell them about the mysterious wires in your car and if acura actually rolled out a futuristic car and sent it to a dealer by mistake.
Now assuming that the dealer fesses up that some modification was done to the car by a previous buyer or the dealer itself(If they used it as a loaner car for a while), then you gotta get some money back!!!!!

It could had been for a dealer-installed option. We all know that dealerships like to sell add-ons like paint sealants, undercoating, etc. This might had been for a dealer-installed accessory, such as an alarm system, that was taken out at the request of a previous potential buyer. Just throwing out some possibilities.

^^^ I agree it looks like the type of wiring used to install the alarm systems that many dealers install onto the cars while they are on the lot and usually removed when sold if they cannot get the buyer to part with some cash for it
