What to do about possible crank walk
What to do about possible crank walk
Hello I recently had my timing jump I replaced the full timing kit and noticed my timing cover was being shredded where the crank came through and after getting to all put back together it makes a sound right there. when it’s running it sounds like it is still rubbing Idk what to do or how to fix it I’m just worried that was what caused my crank to jump time from my cams (for reference both cams were timed to each other but my crank was 90 degrees out) (car still ran when it was out but only when warmed up and it sounded like a Harley)

If it's 'shredded' and interfering with something, search on part #11810-RCA-A01 and buy a replacement?

LOL you better pray to god that you don't have "crank walk", or else your entire engine is toast.
What you're describing sounds like the typical crank pulley/harmonic dampener, a 2 piece design held together by rubber, is starting to deteriorate and the outer ring is rubbing on the timing covers.

And who did your timing belt job; you? a shop? Because a bad crank pulley sounds like the least of your problems. If the crank really was 90* out of time with the cams, there's a good chance you slammed the pistons into the valves, in which case you're in for some bad news.
