Just guessing; however, if you recently did the timing belt, was there a 'taper shim' included (yellow arrow), and did you install it?
Reference 'symptom' paragraph on the attachment for further information.

I took off the timing belt cover and checked the timing belt, everything seemed fine.

I sprayed carb cleaner on the drive pulley, put everything back together and chirping stopped.

The chirping happened again, now even louder. Its coming from the power steering pump. When i remove the drive belt and run the car it doesn't make any noise and when i put the belt back on it doesnt make any noise, then after 5 minutes it starts.

The power steering pump was replaced 30,000 miles ago with the belt, i just replaced the inlet (orange) and outlet o-rings. The belt still has part # markings on it. I'm going to replace the belt and I hope this should solve the problem.

I also can't find the serpentine belt tension indicator. i don't want to remove the tensioner:

Usually you replace them when they start to crack or develop chirping / squeaking. Pump is not loose right? You did put some decent belt there?

It was an OEM belt model #: 38920-rca-a03. Pump is not loose, OEM pump was put in.

I clueless why this is happening at 30k. I looked inside the belt and between the grooves I can see metal.

I just ordered ACDelco.

I found the cause, its the alternator pulley: Look inside the grooves how the metal is coming apart and bending:

Is that metal or just rubber deposits from the old belt? Is alternator spinning smoothly?

alternator is spinning smoothly. Upon closer inspection its rubber deposits from the old belt that has been melted onto the pulley, i just cleaned it, removed 95% of it. None of the other pulleys had this issue, possibly heat from the alternator caused this.

It is not easy to find. I attached an ebay picture that shows the items you want to see aligned. Hopefully it is a better picture than that in the thread you linked.

I am also attaching two pictures from my car that will show you where you want to look. Make sure you have a good flashlight.

I doubt the metal is coming apart on the alternator pulley, that is a steel pulley. Looks completely like serpentine belt rubber. You just need to change the serpentine belt.

I cleaned the pulley. It was rubber deposits. I changed the belt, problem solved.

The power steering is making this noise when i turn steering wheel lock to lock and at lock point, what is it? I just changed both inlet and outlet o-rings, new drive belt, changed power steering fluid. Power steering pump was replaced 30k miles ago.

Please diagnose this noise:

I just changed the drive belt tensioner with this one:

Amazon.com: Continental 49349 Accu-Drive Tensioner Assembly : Automotive Amazon.com: Continental 49349 Accu-Drive Tensioner Assembly : Automotive

in the Continental box is a Litens tensioner, claimed to be the OEM tensioner sold by Honda.

999671A (shoplitens.com)

When I replaced my tensioner this new tensioner was extremely difficult to put the new belt on. I am assuming although the prior tensioner the belt didn't slip off it, the spring in the tensioner weakened.

The chirping noise is the crank pulley. I checked the pulley its not loose or whoobly.

I sprayed the bolt and behind it with WD-140 then some lithium grease and it stopped.

Belt squeak

I had the same noise, changing the belt will only fix it for a while. There is a TSB on how to fix it. You need to replace the A/C compressor mounting bolts.

This service bulletin is for a 07-08 TL.

I have a 2005 TL. It's the same setup as 07-08. Would this work for 2005 TL?

Its still chirping at start up. I also replaced the belt.

Update, I will give this a try. I just ordered them. They are $1 each and will fit 05 TL.

I replaced the 3 A/C compressor bolts and the chirping noise stopped.

I figured it was bad pulley bearings and then after replacing the drive belt tensioner (bearings were worn), drive belt and A/C Compressor pulley (bearings were worn), I then figured it was a pulley alignment issue, but I would never have figured out the way to fix this problem was replacing those bolts.

Thanks alot.
