this is like a creaking or grinding noise in person right? i'm pretty sure i had this exact same problem although mine only made the sound when you turned the steering wheel while the car was in D at slow speeds.

i had my pulley tensioner replaced and the sound went away. the pulley tensioner is one of the 2 small pulleys underneath the big one at the top.

they replaced the following parts:

91345-rda-a01 o-ring 13.0x1 (<$1)
91370-sv4-000 o-ring 14.4x1 (<$1)
04317-rca-305 tensioner set (can be found on fleabay)

Take the belt off and see if it is still there.

Find a mechanic's stethescope. Or a piece of dowel rod. Hold the stick to your ear and then place the other end on any non-moving parts. The sound will travel up the rod to your ear. Slight mechanical noise is normal from any bearings and pumps, but that sound should really stand out if you can touch the offending part.
Yeah, take the belt off and see if it is still there. Just don't run it for too long like that since it's not turning the alternator. And if you determine its not the accessory belt, then seriously consider not driving the car until it's fixed. If it is a timing belt tensioner, you risk losing the timing belt and the engine work that goes along with that.

I have similar problem too. Probably it's caused by the tensioner. Will get it checked next Monday at dealer. I saw many posts about this issue. It's like a typical problem for TL.

That definitely sounds like the timing belt tensioner. I just had mine replaced for the same sound and it resolved the problem. Mine would sound like that until the engine warmed up a bit.

The tensioner is actually like a little hydraulic shock that pushes on the tensioner pulley and over time that shock may leak oil. Once the oil leaks out it can make some slack in the timing belt and make that noise.

I found a thread on another Honda forum that shows an auto-tensioner so that you can see what I'm talking about:
