well I dont know how much longer....
I really dont know what do to....can u guys help...
the drivers side seat has got to be the most uncomfortable seat i have ever owned.
i cant even drive 20 minutes without moving around at least 5-10 times....
should i take it back to the dealer and complain?
i have only had it 45 days and i am to the point where i ready to trade it back in....
dont know if this matters....i am 5'10 215lbs...
what do the rest of you weigh and are u having discomfort ?
thanks for all your input in advance.

I'm about 190lb. I've noticed the seat seems a little uncomfortable for longer trips, although I realize it is a firmer ride than other cars I've had. I try to make sure I'm not sitting on anything like my wallet in back pockets.
One of the other threads here suggested a seat cover and another poster was pleased with using an ObusForme seat cushion. I'm considering giving the seat cushion a try.

yeah but i did not spend the money to sit on a cushion....love every thing else about the car but to me its not worth it if its uncomfortable....u dont realize this in a 10 min test drive ....
very un happy....i have moved the seat to all kinds of positions but nothing seems to make it go away...
one postive note is i bought the car not a lease and i had 5k in equity in my truck when i traded it in...i will lose on that but it will be worth the discomfort...
most of u drivers of the tl must be small or light weight...i went from a ford f150 wish i would have kept it now.

Sorry to hear its uncomfortable.... I was very worried about this when i purchased the TL, since my '95 Honda seats were giving me major upper leg cramps on even shorter drives (1 hr). I actually find the TL seat very comfortable, I don't get leg cramps anymore even on my 5000 mile road trip! (I'm 6' at 170lbs) However, my g/f is 5'3" and she really hates the drivers seat, says it hurts her back but she can go to sleep in the passenger seat in less than 5 minutes so it must be comfortable...

I'm 5'10, 235... my Galant GTZ had very comfortable seats believe it or not, way better than my TL, which has more sporty seats.
But I do LOVE the adjustable headrest in the TL. Compared to the other cars in the class, I fit in the TL the best!
When I drive my wife's MDX, those seats drive me CRAZY. TL is way better in that respect.
Try playing with the adjustments a ton, that may help. I prefer the front of the seat up, and the back all the way down... Good luck...

6'5", 240 lbs, I'm comfortable. And I came from a Volvo S80. My neighbor has an 05 tl and had a problem with the seat frame being out of line. Maybe you have some problem like that.

I am 6'3", 195 lbs.
During the test drives, I found the seat comfortable. After I got the car, though, it took me a lot of messing and tweaking to get the settings "as good as possible," but it wasn't perfect. I started to worry that I wasn't compatible with the seat for long hauls, like my ~1 hour commute. Luckily, after several weeks, the seat seemed to adjust to me and I now find it quite comfortable.
I hope you have the same experience.

One on the right for me
Took a little while for me to find my "spot" but I find the seats very comfortable for long road trips. I do know that if the seat gets tweaked at all my body gets uncomfortable, but once it goes back to the preset everything is fine.

I'm 5-10 and 190lbs. I Find the seat very comfortable. It did take me almost a month to get the seat just -right. I thank god for the memory settings. I have more trouble getting the the steering wheel both comfortable and set so I can see the entire guage cluster. I either loose from 60mph and up on the speed-o or I loose the temp guage. I can never get that "just right"

My case:
6.1 And 210 lbs
I found that seat is very good.
It keeps body from rolling and I feel as it touches my side and it gives me better feeling.
I did several trips (NY - Washington, NY - Toronto, NY - other places) and each trip last more that 3-5 hours. I was absolutely fresh after each one.
Sorry to hear your problem

I'm 5'10" and 180# and the seat fits like a glove except for the headrest. I've done 10-15 hours of driving at a stretch without significant discomfort. The seat has so many potential positions that it did take a while to reach my comfort spot.
Hope it works out for you either way.
