Weirdest thing happened

Stopped at the post office today and when I got out and went to lock my car, I didn't get a beep. I come to find out that the drivers door is not locking with my remote or with the door button. Not only this, but when I started up the car, I was also prompted for my navigation 4 digit security code. I checked all my fuses and they all look good. Does anyone have any idea what the issue could be? I was thinking that it might be the door lock actuator but that doesn't explain why I was prompted for my navigation security pin.

Thanks!

check the battery connections at the terminals.
might be loose and a little jar from road conditions could make it lose connection for a bit

Will do Justin. That actually makes perfect sense for the navigation because I recall the negative battery terminal needing to be replaced due tightening issues. Doesn't explain the drivers door not locking though, while all other would automatically lock with both the drivers door button and the remote button.

^could be two separate cases.

it just so happens that your door actuator went out at the same time as your loose battery terminal?
however, im just drawing straws here and wouldnt know unless i took a look at the vehicle.
you're a smart fellow!
in for updates!!

or they could be related.
the MICU? or master fuse box??

I actually didn't check the master fuse box under the hood for blown fuses, I need to do that. I thought all interior components including doors were routed to the kick panel fuse box.

Oh gosh I hope it's not the MICU...

Add another symptom to the list...HFL no longer works. Pushing the talk button doesn't beep like it's supposed to and if I push select on the HFL menu option it just says "booting up" and never changes. Keep in mind that all three of these things occurred at the exact same time.

Because I have two different cars, it makes troubleshooting problems that much easier.

The HFL issue is not solved. Prior to buying my new car, I had some battery drain issues in my other car and couldn't figure them out so I replaced the battery. Come to think of it, I didn't use the HFL unit that much in the other car post replacing the battery. I guess that a common problem that people have with defective HFL units is battery drain. This makes sense because I couldn't pinpoint the cause of my battery drain in my other car. Now that I have a 6MT, I use the HFL much more often. Since the HFL units were swapped at the time of my interior swap, I swapped the defective HLF along with everything else and must not have attempted to use it until today leading me to believe that it was associated with the navi and driver door lock issues. I think it's safe to say that they are all completely unrelated though.

Onto the next issue, which I'm betting is the driver door lock actuator. I may try and swap the actuator from my other car to this one just so I know for sure.

I'll keep you guys posted.
