Weird tranny problem?

So, ive noticed that when i take corners at a decent speed, the rpms shoot up, then they go back down? What could this mean?

Good old tranny. Could be on the way out. Check your transmission fluid level though.

Are you sure the tranny is downshifting to maintain your speed? (Instead of bogging down the engine in the higher gear)

Also, define what you mean by 'decent' and 'shoot up'. Are going 105mph in a 30mph corner? Does the engine start redlining?

You could be low on fluid which that is what happens when you are. Also you could have the car scanned for codes. How many miles are on the car and has the trans been serviced?
