Weird noise when I turned the steering wheel?

So today it was a cold day like 18 degrees and I own a 2004 TL with about

82,000 miles. When I turned on my engine today I noticed something weird. It

never happened before. How come when I turned the steering wheel either left

or right and makes some humming noise. It makes noise when it is in park and in

drive as well. Did anyone experienced this before? Does anyone know what the

problem is? Please let me know. Thank you very much.

Does the problem go away when the car is warmed up? If so fix it yourself with this DIY. https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...highlight=ring

If it only happens when cold Check the link listed in above post for the TSB on the power steering pump o ring fix. If it happens all the time then I'd suspect low fluid.

try warming up the car and check the fluid level, When the car is warm up the level should be above max if it's not add some more fluid in there.
