Weird discolored lines in dash (from the underlying airbag?)

So I wiped my dash the other day with a microfibre cloth. As I wiped over the passenger side of the dash, some discolored lines in the dash became visible that were not visible before wiping. I believe they are from the airbag that is underneath the dash.

Why did wiping my dash cause these lines to appear for the first time? Has anyone else ever come across this problem? And what do you do to fix it?

Keep it well lubricated with products in the thread:
https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-2004-2008-93/will-acura-replace-dash-602397/

The cloth probably "pulled" out any remaining moisturizer.

You can search and spend hours reading.

Ya, i had that too. The good folks here at Acurazine recommended 303 Spray. It works like a charm. It covers it and makes your dash look... well DASHING

I've had this for a couple years... I don't know how it got there, but it really irritates me. Maybe I'll try some of this dash spray.

This is a well-known issue and subject to a TSB, per Turbonut's post above, with the link to https://acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=602397.

First, the dash has to be cleaned with a vinyl cleaner to remove the outgassed material.
Then 303 Aerospace Protectant is applied from a cloth/towel onto the dash-- the 303 should NOT be sprayed directly onto the dash.

FWIW, the most recent TSB put out by Honda recommends 303 Aerospace Protectant over its own brand of protectant.

While this did help, it didnt completely fix the dash for me. Hardly noticeable though
