today i changed my lower cntrl arm bushing and it didnt so shit to the car but wack out my alighment. and all it did was add dings on my contrl arms because i have to pound out the ball joint. for a little tear in the bushing i thought i have to change it and it turns out it was driving fine. dumb shit i ever did

 

lol same here, I changed mine out because I saw a little rip on the top and somehow thought it ripped all the way through, so I went through all the effort to get them changed and still drives the way it did, maybe a little tighter. Live and learn! As for banging the ball joint out, youtube a method, it involves using a 1/2'' wrench to wedge between the hub and the control arm, lower it with a jack really fast and it pops the ball joint up, works every time.
