Walbro255lph install help 3G
I need help.
I installed a walbro255lph in my 2006 Acura tl. And now my car has trouble starting. I have to prime the pump numerous times before the car will start. Even when it starts it barely want to. But when the car is running its fine.
When installing the pump, since the outlet of the pump was slightly skinnier that the stock one. I found a different o ring that fit better around the outlet nozzle of the pump before sliding it back into the cage.
Seems like the pump is not holding pressure to be once I shut the car off.
Anyone have any ideas?

I ran a walbro 255 for 5 years in my turbo car. I never messed with the factory regulator on the rail or in the tank. I never once had a problem with it holding pressure. I would let the car sit all winter and fire it up every april with no problem what so ever. I don't know the TL fuel system to well as I have never tore into it. Maybe try and bypass the factory wiring and hardwire it and see if the problem remains.

In hooked the fuel line from the fuel pump cage this evening and sure enough no fuel came out. So either the pump wasn't holding pressure when turned off or I did not get it seated in the cage correctly. Since the o ring from the stock pump was too big for the walbro I used another one that fit it better. But not sure if it was working correctly. Anybody else with the walbro have this issue? Or what o ring did you use to fit the walbro?

Im still having issues. the stock o-ring around the outlet of the fuel pump is not the correct size for the walbro and I think that's the issue im having. What size o-ring should I use? Has anyone that has don't this swap had this issue. My walbro did not come with a o-ring
