VSA not turning on/off

Sorry for another VSA ?. I did a search on the VSA but I didn't find anything that pertains to what i was looking for. About a month ago i got into a accident going over a curb (SNOW). so basically the entire left front suspension system was replaced with new parts.

I just got my car back and I notice that the VSA! will not turn on or off even when i press the button. What is the problem?

Also the word VSA is lit on the screen? what does that tell me?

My understanding is that when the VSA! is not on the dash that means its ON. Correct?

When your VSA light stays on, it means VSA is not active. Go back to where you got your suspension fixed, and ask them to check the wiring. If nothing works, I suggest you go to Acura and have them look at it =\

Good luck~

Wiring or sensor or something along those lines.

Look up VSA in the On-Line Manual here:

https://techinfo.honda.com/rjanisis/...505MAINIXA.pdf

Look under "Driving" on page 200.

thank you bearcat94...the vsa system indicator is definately on and so i'm taking the vehicle back to the shop that did the work on it on friday.

this morning when i was driving (VSA OFF) about 70 mph...i notice that when my car was or it felt like the car was flying with no control...over bumps and hills...is that because the vsa was off and not working properly?

well thats the only thing that is in the wheel area that could have been damaged. that a the ring for the gear for the sensor which is on the outer axle joint. the sensor is about $50 and about 30 mins of your time. it would be great to have a code.

Update:

took it to the shop that did the suspension work on my car and they put in some code and the vsa system indicator plus VSA! light came back on. They couldn't pinpoint on what was wrong with it...I also mention the wheel speed sensor to them....they said take it to honda/acura and if its accident related the insurance will cover...okay. so imma take it to the honda dealer. someone's gotta know their stuff. but before i take it to the honda dealer how can i check to see if its the wheel speed sensor? and more information on how to DIY/where to buy part?

TIA

Check and see if its clean around there, no debris or anything. Check air gap between the sensor should be .5 - 1.2mm of gap

While I am not as experienced as many other members here, I had a problem close to this. Check to see if they didnt screw up any of your sensors (ABS etc) also, I believe that VSA has to be reprogrammed or something of that nature (They had to do it with my car)

It looks like they screwed up your car.

well its fixed! I would get something stating what was done, and the reason why, then hand it over to the body shop as they are supposed to fix it like its supposed to be

well, it happened to me for like 5 min or so. It showed up, couldn't turned it off or on or anything with the button... I got to the place where I was driving to, shut off the car, closed it, opened it, started the engine and it was gone. Maybe something got between the sensor ???

P.S.
I cleaned the car the day before, along with very good spraying/cleaning/washing of my wheels... maybe some water ?

I've had this before and thought it was related to the wheel/tire upgrade I did. Almost 2 days at dealer and the tech said it was related to a bad current draw on the VSA system...blah, blah. He ended up resetting system and putting a wad of di-electric grease on the negative battery post.

flash forward 8 months to today. was spraying the car down at a pay-type bay car wash and shot the wheel wells down really good. Same light show as above. Must be wheel speed sensors. I think they are more trouble than they are worth.

Would it be wise to use an electric motor cleaner/solvent to clean these?
