VSA Light - SEND HELP

Hey, everyone

I own an '06 TL and the other night I did a lil DIY fix to the Cruise Control button. The Main On/Off switch is worn out and doesn't stay in the "On" position so i went ahead and dismantled some of the sterring wheel, right.. well all I did was take off the airbag and i left everything plugged in, other than the plug to the Cruise Control cluster there on the right (and of course the battery was unplugged during rhe process).
So, when I started the car yesterday morning I noticed 2 lights were now appearing on the dash, im sure a lot of u already know the lights im talking about, but for clarity-sake, im talking about the orange Triangle with an "!" inside. which, i understand to indicate that there is an electronic issue (feel free to correct me) - the 2nd light was the "VSA", which i believe stands for "Vehicle Steering Assist" (?).

Anyway I went back today after work and disassembled it all over again to make sure everything was plugged in and all cables n such were in proper position, and from the photos i was able to find online it seems to be that everything is correct. only I'm still having the lights show up.

I apologize for being so long winded with this, does anyone have an answer for this issue I'm having? My current thought is that "VSA" needs to be recalibrated, am I on the right track?

I had to do this myself after I took off the steering wheel. Twice actually, it came back after I did it the first time. Make sure to follow every step, read the comments.
