Vibration when braking

So when I'm slowing down from either high speed or low speed I can feel my steering wheel and brake pedal shudder. Ideas?

- 2006 TL 6SPD, approx 75k.
- Replaced pads twice, never replaced or resurfaced rotors.
- I used to brake hard but not as much anymore.

I'm assuming rotors, but is it likely?

Warped rotors, common issue. My rotors are warped too but it's only noticeable at high speeds (I'd say about 80mph+). I don't think the rotors in my car have ever been replaced... if I remember correctly the maintenance records only said pads. I'm at 113.5k miles. I'm not worried about it and will replace them if it gets really bad or its time to replace them.

If you tightened the shit out of your lugs when putting them on the last time, that's probably when it happened. I did it to my stock rotors also. IIRC torque specs for our lugs is 80 ft-lbs.

Yep - warped rotors. I've got my originals on - it's 128,000 miles, and I've been ignoring the vibrations for about 50,000 of them.
