Changing Auto tensioner

Hey guys need to change the whole assembly for the auto tension for the belt. there is a a whine- grinding noise coming from the auto tensioner i change both idle and auto pully and still same sound then found its coming from the acutally assembly, my question is should i really get the acura oem part or can i go to autozone and get the dayco part. was wondering if dayco is a good name? becuase most dealerships dont have it and i really need to get this done and over with tomorrow. dont wanna ait for shipping.

Any replacement is better than what you have now. Will it last as long as the OE, don't know, but time will tell, but I've used many aftermarket pulleys and no problems.

Agreed, the sound in the mornings is unbearable.
Just got mine done, I think they put in a Gates, but make sure you get the bearings - I think the guy told me that's always separate...........
Might as well change the belt while you are at it.
