Vibration at speed

I have an 05 TL and I was getting vibration in my steering wheel above 60mph. I thought I might need new brakes but the dealer said it was the tires so I purchased a new set of Bridgestone Turanza tires (not from the dealer) and got all 4 wheels aligned. The problem is about 80% gone but I still feel a slight vibration above 70mph. I usually drive around 80mph during my commute to work.
I drove my girlfriends 03 Montero and at 90mph is was way smoother than my TL. Sad to think that a clunky SUV handles better than my TL. Does anyone have any suggestions on what the problem might be?

It's likely a bad balance on the tires, a bent wheel rim or defective tire.

If the tire store does not have or use the Hunter Road Force, that would likely be the problem. The TL is sensitive to tire balancing, BTW.

Welcome to AZ.

I hate to say this, but the stock tires that comes with the TL the Bridgestone Turanza suck ass you should of bought some better tires in my opinion. cuz wen i bought my 05 tl my tires went bald around 15-17k on it, which i think sucks. I bought some new toyo tires,n they ride smooth n quiet. I also had the same experience as u did, n it's the tires for sure. but i could b wrong.

+1, Will hit the nail on the head.

Make sure you pay extra to have them road force balanced as he suggested, very important. Tires on passenger cars are considered 'bad' if they measure >=15 lbs of road force after they have been spun:
