Vibrating Steering Wheel

So since I bought the car a month ago I've had this shake in the wheel. I've gone through the normal procedures to get rid of it (balance, alignment.. etc) and nothing seems to cure it.

Fortunately the previous owner maintained meticulously, and always brought it to Acura to be serviced. I managed to get the full service history from them (all 25 pages) on my car and it looks as if it was recommended they replace the front and side engine mounts.. could this be causing all that vibration?

1) Is the shake/vibration constant despite the speed range, or does it show up only at certain speeds?

2) Was the wheel balancing done with a Hunter Road Force machine?

The motor mounts are unlikely to cause the vibration-- their purpose is to absorb engine vibration while the engine is operating.

It really only starts being noticeable after about 50mph.

I'm not sure about machine that was used to balance the wheels. Town Fair did it.

After balancing, have the person rotate the wheel/tire 180 degrees on the spindle and rebalance. Should be dead on, no weights required, if not, problem with wheel center or balancer. Might need the balancer adapter to attach to bolt holes, not center bore.
Our '04 needs the adpater and without its use wouldn't be able to get rid of the annoying light vibration 65+mph.
