Very strange thing happened

Hi all,

Want to run this by you. I drove me 05 TL last night. Parked it in the driveway and locked it with the remote. This morning when I used the remote to unlock it and went out to the car, all 4 windows were open a little. The 2 on the drivers side about an inch and the 2 on the passenger side just slightly opened. Any ideas what could have caused this?

You probably held down the unlock button or something pushed it.

Same thing happened to me. It's just as the previous post said- you held the remote button just a bit too long when getting it to unlock and it cracked your windows a bit. Once you see it happen you have an easier time remembering to watch your fingers.

Thanks. I just tried to keep the remote button down to confirm. Sure enough, all 4 windows went down half way and the sun roof opened about an inch.

Ackebous, like Blkaspec said, that is a function of the key fob. Press your key fob twice and hold down the button on the fob and all the windows will go down as well as the sun roof!

WHAT!! You guys are kidding right?! I've owned my car for 1.5 years and never came across this feature. I think I heard of this before, tried it, and nothing happened. Is this a year specific thing??

OMFG!! I just tried it. I absolutely my car. I am still finding features even to this day. This was a big one though. The TL is the coolest car I've ever had.

No, and no-- works in every 3G TL.
It's in the "power window" section of the owner's manual-- which has all kinds of other stuff about the door lock timing, etc.

The best complement to this feature is the KP Roll Up Mod, which closes everything when you lock the car with your remote. This mod makes the whole system perfect.
BTW, the roll down feature is also on 2G TLs.
