Just recently in the morning I'll start the car up and there will be this very loud noise while the car is warming up and continues for a bit. Almost sounds like the classic american car power steering noise, if you know what I mean. Just wondering if anyone else has this sound as well or if its something I should bring it into Acura for them to check out. Thanks.

Me too. It just started. I've never heard it before, and I've had my car a long while. I'll take it in when I get a chance. Let us know if you get to it before I do.

sometimes i think it does that if your heater or a/c is on while the car is warming up

The heater would have nothing to do with this however, the A/C could.

Gentlemen;

Could you elaborate a little more on this sound? If it is the sound of a power steering pump, it would resemble a hissing sound. If the sound is more along the lines of a squeal, it could be the accessories belt which could point to some other problem.

Does this sound only occur when the engine is cold and at initial startup?

Does it go away once the engine has warmed up and/or the car has been driven a short distance?

When it happens, have you had the hood up and been there to hear the sound more directly?
