loud engine already!??

it has only been less than 20 days after i purchased brand new 2007 type S. and the engines already loud with constant clicking sound. so i compared the engine sound wit my friend's 05 tl and my friend's car was way quieter than mine. and to that i have never gone over 70mphs and over 3rpm with 700 mileage, also i warm up or not shift from P till the temperature gets to mid. maybe due to the coldness here in nyc? some1 please tell me wether this is normal or not and if this can be fixed!

So I'm assuming that the engine was quieter when you bought the car?

most likely it is because the oil is still fresh and probably has some metal shavings which is normal. After the first oil change, it should quite down.

Nothing should be clicking-- if metal shavings are clicking, we're talking serious issues here!

See the dealer and have the service department listen to your car. Also listen to another TL-S or two on the lot have that clicking sound. If the noise isn;t present in those, you could be bad belt, bad accessory bearing, valvetrain noise, etc.
