Valve adjustment service

I just had the the valve cover gaskets replaced on my 2006 Acura TL and and within less two week, I've been advised that I now need a valve adjustment service because the when the car is idle, it runs rough a little and there is a slight ticketing noise...now the dealership wants to charge me $415 when I already paid $330 for new valve cover gaskets....should the valves have been adjusted at time at time valve cover gaskets replaced?

Thanks...

$330 for valve cover gaskets? Can I just ask how much they charged for the gaskets without the labor?

On a 2006 TL,the valve cover gasket set should be no more thatn $70,part number:12030-RCA-A01, quantity of 2.This depend son the dealer I guess, but definitely not $300worth.That's unbelievable. If i were you, speak to their service manager, ask for a breakdown of the labor costs, and ask them to Discount everything up to the actual labor of adjusting the valves. According to my service manual it's 2.1 Hours of labor for the adjusting of valves only.

Oh I see. That's why the stealerships are quoting $450 - $500 for a valve adjustment. I got it ................

Yup.
Total of 3.6 hours of labor, +/- any other things they may want to add.Such as oil change,misc.lube,etc.

It is 1.1 Hours to remove 1 Head cover, Add .4 (minus labor overlap) to remove the second. Then 2.1 to adjust.
