Im having some problems with the driver side lock/unlock. When I remotely press the lock or unlock it sometimes doesnt move. I took apart the door and i dont see anything preventing it from moving. Anyone else have this problem? Any help appreciated

 

It's the driver side door actuator. Something happened to me a few weeks ago. It cost around $20 for a new actuator.

 

is the actuator behind the door plastic seal? easy to replace?

 

^Yes. You have to completely remove the door panel. I didn't replace mine myself, but watched someone do it who has had done it many times in the past. Took him about 20 minutes give or take. i never got to fixing it because it started working again. but it just stopped again recently. what are the odds that something is making it stick? cause it looks like it tries to move, but just doesnt have the power to.

 

This happened to me about 4 or 5 years ago. I turned the auto lock feature off and unlock it manually now like in the old days. I do not enjoy pulling apart door panels or dash pieces.
