Unfortunate month for the TL

So I got my 05 TL about 7 months ago and had no problems for the first 6 months but this last month has been very unfortunate. Ran into quite a few annoying problems (nothing too big) but luckily figured out something for everything except two things.

1)Every time I start to drive my car, I hear a "beep" and a feel slight vibration on the gas pedal right around the 8-10 mph mark. It happens every time I start my car but it only happens sometimes at red lights or stop signs, maybe I just can't hear it because of all the noise. What's going on?

2)My cousin was backing up and didn't see my car behind him and hit my front bumper. How much does a new bumper cost? I can install it myself, I don't want to go through insurance (preferably)

04711-SEP-A90ZZ is part # (# 001 on that image) -- dont know how you would specify color...maybe comes unpainted?

also found an ebay listing that comes painted to match: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...lenotsupported

comes from honda unpainted... It's better that way since a local bodyshop can match the paint a whole lot better to the car, and as well get it to fit right.

Feedback seems to be very strong. Other than that, who knows. Someone purchased that bumper recently according to purchase history. Seems like they know what they're doing.

if you dont feel like getting it painted one receiving it, then maybe that's way to go, but maybe (if ebay is not OEM going with OEM is better.

Ouch!

Where are you located? You might be able to get one already color-matched from a member here. You should post a WTB on the black market for a WDP front bumper.

I have one I could sell you, but there's no way I can ship it - too big and too much $$$ for freight.

just note, it looks like the ebay one won't include the ACURA lettering between the two holes for the plates...

For problem #1, it's more than likely the ABS test. If it seams to happen on your first drive of the day, speed your talking about, slight clicking or vibe int the pedals and sounds more like a mechanical whine than a beep, it's definitely the ABS test the car performs at about that speed.

Thanks for the offer but I live in Buffalo. I'll be posting a WTB on the black market and also checking craigslist, hopefully something comes up. Otherwise I'll just get one from Honda because I really want the Acura letters.

I was waiting to take off my front license plate for two months and finally did it two days ago lol. I passed 9 cop cars in two days and had no trouble with the front license plate being off. Hopefully it stays that way!

You're right it is more of a mechanical whine. Is there something wrong with the ABS or does it just do that? I never really heard it before.

The first part was your bad for thinking that an acura scissor jack was the proper tool to use to keep your car jacked up.

I never really noticed until they started talking about it in a thread a while back. It's normal, but normally only after it's been sitting for a while.

search "ABS test". It's also discussed in the owners manual, if I remember.
