All my windows are scratching on 07 TL Type S

I've had my 07 TLS now for about 4 months and recently noticed the tint in all 4 of my windows are severly scratched from the inside.
  • How do I prevent further scratches?
  • Should I fight the dealer into replacing my tint?
I inquired with a local dealer about this and he claims Acura recommends NOT tinting your windows on 3G TLs b/c this is a know problem with the window rollers. WTF??

I had an 05TL and never experienced this issue.

1. Moleskin.
2. They won't do squat, it's aftermarket biz.

Get moleskin. I'm surprised your tinter didn't know about moleskin.

I have no idea how to install this stuff but if it involves taking off a door panel, I likely won't be too inclined to mess with it.

you don't have to remove the panels. just roll the windows down all the way and stick your fingers in where the window is with palms facing the door panel. next, pry the door panel up w/ fingers to expose the weather strip. remove the weather strip and apply moleskin to the two points where it comes in contact w/ the window. reverse the process and your done. you can take the weather strip out in less than 10 seconds.

No, it doesn't replace it, but covers it.

moleskin is pretty much felt with adhesive on one side, just put it on top of your weatherstrip and you'll be good to go!!

if you bought it from the dealer, they should have known better to do otherwise...fight, fight, fight! if not...you could just get used to who cares...
