So today 6/30/12 I went in to Acura for an oil, tranny, coolant change. The service guy checked for any recalls. He found one. I said it better not be the damn power steering hose (I had it changed do to a leak) which I'm sure all of us know about. I had it done at a local shop for 300.00. He said yes! Even though it had already been fixed they redid everything for free. He gave me a number to call to send in my receipt for reimbursement. He didn't know if I would be reimbursed for the entire 300.00 though. Anyone experience this yet? I tried to search but didn't find anything. You would think the service guy would know its not a standard TL and especially the tech fixing it. Is the type S on the list now?! Thought I would throw a heads up!!!!

 

if you made the repair and have a receipt, you should be reimbursed for it. Problem is they most likely entered it in as being done when they did it so you might have a trouble.

 

I asked about that. They wrote on my invoice receipt it was already done by another shop. I was just curious if anyone else with the Type S had it covered under warranty?

Yes, the 2008 Type S is part of the recall. I just had mine completed this week.
