turning passenger side airbag back ON?
*sigh* Okay, so I did some searching to see if there was a similar thread on my topic but it wasn't really the same. So here goes nothing.
I have an '08 TL type S and my genius boyfriend somehow turned off the passenger side airbag. I have no idea what he did, I just know he was moving the passenger seat back and forth, but he somehow turned it off. When I start up my car, it says that my passenger side airbag is off, EVEN when there is someone sitting there ( Yes, I checked the other thread ) so I know it's not a problem with the seat detection.
I know I know, check your user manual. I was reading it in my room and now i'm in the process of moving so it was packed up and away.
Can SOMEBODY help me?! Anybody?? I wanted to see if I could solve this problem on the forums before heading out to the dealership.
Thanks everyone!

you can look in the 3gen threads for online owners manual free download
or do same at www.acura.com
wish I could help you more. Does the 08 have a key controlled or button controlled child safety override for the pass airbag- thats the only thing I can think of
If not- just drive into the dealer and ask the service manager to come out and show you, who knows maybe you have a real problem!

Here's a link to the online Owners Manuals. Maybe it'll help.
https://techinfo.honda.com/rjanisis/...01_OMANUAL.asp
As mentioned, some cars have way to turn off/deactivate the passenger airbag. Not sure on the Type-S. I don't recall one, but I am not sure.

If there is, reconnect to see if it solves the problem. If not, see the dealer.

First of all, either have the BF sit in the back or in the trunk where he cant break stuff. As said, check the wires under the seat to make sure that none are unplugged. If he really did some damage, he might have damaged the scale pads that determine the weight of the occupant. Replacing that can get costly, but you can pass it under warranty. EDIT: also try unplugging the battery for 30 minutes, that should reset the SRS system and clear out the errors on the car if any are stored.

I've had this same issue for several months now. I had it cleared when the oil was changed but during the installation of a DICE audio adapter the warning came back. I need to take it back to a dealer for resetting the warning.
