Unhappy Turn signal bulbs don't come on with Headlights?!?

So I was taking a look at my friend's TL and I realized that his turn signal bulbs don't come on with the parking lights. When the parking lights are on, the back lights come on and the front signal bulbs don't come on at all. They also don't come on when the headlights are on. THe headlights work fine though, and the turn signals work fine when activated at any time (with or without headlights on)

On my car, (same thing, 04 base) the turn signal lights stay on with parking lights and with headlights. Pretty weird. We recently blacked his headlights out and everything but I'm sure we installed everything back the way it should be; bulbs and all (not LEDs). The turn signal bulbs work when you activate the hazard button and when you use the turn signals, but they don't stay on with the headlights.

Any ideas? The rest of the wiring is basically all stock, except for footwell LEDs wired to dome supervisor wire as per Guitarplayer16's DIY.

The turn/parking bulbs are probably in backwards. I would check that. I had a similar situation when I originally blacked out my headlights back in 06. (Damn that was a long time ago!)

Try taking one of your LED turn signal bulbs and putting it into his turn signal...

See if it comes on when you turn on the parking lights.

If your LED lights up when plugged into his turn signal, than chances are his halogen bulbs needs replacing

my first thought would be bad bulbs. if they are halogen then 1 of the filaments in each bulb has burned out.

Same problem here. Changed my 04 TL's driverside headlight assembly tonight and while I had the bumper off figured I'd swap out the park lights with LED's. Now the park lights aren't working but the turn signals are. Rear park lights work fine. I went ahead and installed the resistors for the turn signals but didn't change anything like I already figured. It got dark so I gave up. Really confusing!?!?!?!

Not sure what problem you're having man but I resolved this issue by replacing te bulbs with new halogens. Turns out they were both burnt out on one of the filaments; weird coincidence!

I had this issue on my driver's side - the filament had burnt out on the parking light but turn signals were ok. I swapped out both of my parking lights even though it was just one that went bad - that way both sides get a "fresh" reset/start.

Bulbs are dual filament AcuraMan! That's why one of 2 bulb functions work.
