"Trunk open" flashes when hitting bumps
recently my TL has been flashing the "trunk open" warning accompanied by clicking in the dash , whenever you go over a bump.I took the latch out and the is a little arm that when open presses a button, i assumed it was engaging so i took the arm off , tried to bend it but dropped it and lost it in my car, so i put it all back together thinking i would get any further trunk open messages period, but no it still goes off.
Anybody else have this problem before ? I need help

UPDATE, I took the whole trunk latch assembly out, went around the block and it still ticks in the dash and shows "trunk open" message went going over bumps. I have no idea at this point.
