Question Trunk button wont work

any clues as to why the trunk release button on the dash on an 04 TL would stop working. The button on my key fob opens the trunk though. Is there a fuse or something I can check? Also is there another way to open the trunk from the car, noticed there is no keyhole near the trunk like in the old days.

Open up your glove box and make sure the master trunk switch isn't turned off by mistake. The moment you open your glove box look to the left towards the center console it will be in the upper left.

WOO HOO!! I changed the in cabin filter this weekend, and probably moved the switch when reassembling the glove box without even knowing it. AWESOME, gotta love this site and all their helpful members.

yup...I must have moved the switch when I replaced the in cabin filter this weekend. I kept thinking of any and every reason except for checking the master switch. I felt really stupid, that should have been something to check first. Kudos to all here in AZ.
