Trip Computer Question

How long can you drive after the trip computer goes to 0 miles.

about 40-70 miles....ther have been a few threads on this....i think its around 2 gallons that are left when u hit 0

3.7 gallons is left when the light goes on... 2.3 gallons is left when the trip computer says 0 miles left.

I wonder why its like that... I had a Saab 9-3 Aero.. when the trip computer said 0, it meant 0.. found out the hard way

its like that because a vast majority of the people don't know that 0 on the trip computer means that u have 2.3 gallons left....they will think they need to get to a gas station immediatly....so naturally people will go to a gas station when they see it hits 0 and continuously fill up so they won't run out of gas...its a good idea when u think of it...its like setting ur watch 5 minutes ahead so ull be on time
